Penegra - Sildenafil Citrate
Penegra definition, manufacturer and properties
Penegra is an oral drug that removes the symptoms of erectile dysfunction in under 60 minutes. Penegra contains sildenafil, the active substance in the drug Viagra that has been marketed with huge success since its invention in 1998. Penegra is produced by the pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd. with the FDA approval that guarantees the safety and efficacy equal to those of the brand-name Viagra.
What properties and benefits does Penegra have?
- it restores erections by a powerful boost of blood circulation in the penis
- it helps to achieve erections with minimal sexual stimulation
- it allows maintaining an erection for as long as it is required
- it allows shortening the recovery time between sexual acts
How Penegra restores erectile mechanism
Penegra contains sildenafil, the active component that gives the drug its therapeutic properties. Sildenafil affects the walls of the blood vessels; this is achieved by blocking the enzyme that makes the blood vessel walls rigid, PDE5. Hence the name of the class of drugs to which sildenafil belongs – PDE5 inhibitors.
The relaxed walls of blood vessels allow the maximal flow of blood through them. Since PDE5 inhibited by sildenafil is found mostly in the penis tissues, this is where the therapeutic effect occurs. The blood stays ”trapped” in the porous bodies of the penis – this is exactly how the erectile mechanism is restored.
Penegra use: the correct application
Penegra is taken when needed, 40 to 60 minutes before the sexual act. Penegra will start working at its utmost capacity an hour after the intake, but only when the user is exposed to sexual stimulation. Remember that Penegra is not an aphrodisiac, and it will have no effect on the intensity of sexual desire.
Take a pill of Penegra with a glass of water without breaking it in your mouth. Never follow up with the intake of sildenafil-based drugs with grapefruit juice and avoid having grapefruits when taking Penegra.
Penegra contains sildenafil 100mg, which is the maximal recommended dose. The drug, as well as its correct dosage, should be appointed by a board-certified specialist.
Penegra works best when taken in a fasted state or after a light meal. You will also find that the drug’s effects become more intense as you continue taking it several times (but never more than 1 dose on the same day). In some patients, as many as 8 intakes are recommended according to the study called ”Treating erectile dysfunction when PDE5 inhibitors fail”, where maximal effects were achieved after several doses taken on different days.
Can Penegra cause side effects?
The side effects of Penegra will not occur in every user. Sildenafil side effects that are common include the following symptoms:

It is important to talk to your doctor about adjusting the sildenafil dose if the side effects of the drug do not go away with time or become intolerable.
